For my card base, I used the Sweet Thoughts Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, which are so bright and colorful. I love them! The cards are pre-printed, and the matching envelopes have the coolest, most lively print on the inside. I decided to deconstruct one of these adorable envelopes and use it for one of my background papers! Ingenious, right?

With this paper, you can choose ink pads that resonate with the mood you want to convey. Think cheerful yellows, vibrant pinks, and lively greens – the goal is to create a card that radiates positivity and joy! I chose to use Pretty Peacock ink, because it perfectly matched the background in the print of the floral envelope paper. I stamped the sentiment onto Basic White cardstock, and punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon punch. I also punched out an extra one from Calypso Coral cardstock, so that I could layer them together to make the sentiment pop.
For the background, I used four strips of paper, each measuring 1-1/2″ x 4″. Two of the pieces are regular cardstock (Crushed Curry and Lost Lagoon), and I embossed them with some of our gorgeous embossing folders (Layered Florals 3D and Softly Sophisticated 3D). Then I adhered these, all at different angles, onto the card front, along with some strips from the printed envelope. Doesn’t this background look great?
I finished off the card using the new Pretty Peacock & Gold 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon, paired with another freebie from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, the Opaque Faceted Gems. They matched perfectly with the color scheme of my card!
