I love using Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog for inspiration! Today’s project idea came directly from page 34 in the current catalog. All I did was change up some of the papers, and added some gems, and made it my own! You should use this idea any time you feel stuck or uninspired. Grab your catalog and find something to copy! It’s such a great way to get your creative juices flowing.
Today’s card uses a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″, folded in half. Next, I layered on a piece of Night of Navy cardstock, measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″. Finally, on top of that, I layered a piece of Peach Pie cardstock, measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″.
Before adhering the Peach Pie cardstock, I stamped on it using Pumpkin Pie ink. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. It was so easy to pull together! I stamped the orange image, as well as several of the small flower images.
I cut out 2 little pieces of Designer Series Paper to layer some color onto the card base. The navy printed piece measures 3/4″ x 3″, and then the orange printed piece measures 1/2″ x 2-3/4″. I glued these onto the card base using Stampin’ Seal.
Next, I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 1″ wide, using Night of Navy ink. I cut both sides at an angle, which gave it a nice touch. I die cut out a few of the greenery pieces from the Citrus Blooms die set, using Garden Green cardstock, and layered these underneath the sentiment piece. Finally, I layered this onto the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
As a finishing touch, I sprinkled on a few of the Night of Navy Opal Rounds Assortment to tie it all together. I love how it turned out! In fact, I like it better than the one in the catalog. Ha ha! Tell me which one YOU prefer!
