I am a simple stamper. I love adding embellishments and ribbon to my cards, but in general, my style of cardmaking is very simple. I do not enjoy spending lots of time on one card, but I definitely respect those who do! For me, if it takes longer than 10 minutes to finish a card, it is WAY too long!
This card design really says it all for me…SIMPLE. Yet beautiful! And THAT, my friend, is exactly my style!
I used the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper to make this card. There is one sheet in the paper pack that has all sorts of different designs on it, just perfect for cutting out and using on card bases just as they are. And, that’s exactly what I used for this card.
Have you seen the new shade of pink that we now have in our collection? It’s called Bubble Bath, and it’s gorgeous! It’s the perfect shade of baby pink, exactly what you’d picture for a truly girly card, or for a baby card. And that is the background color for this paper! I love it!
All I did was cut out the design, and layer it onto a slightly larger piece of Crushed Curry cardstock. Then I wrapped the entire square in some of the white Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, tying a nice, floppy bow.
I layered this onto a piece of Basic White cardstock, and stamped the sentiment on the bottom using the Bubble Bath ink pad. This sentiment is from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set, and I just love the fonts in this set! I am a bit obsessed with computer fonts, and this one makes me happy.
To finish off the card, I sprinkled on a few of our beautiful Brushed Brass Butterflies. I love that they already have a little glue dot on the back, so it’s super easy to stick them exactly where you want them. And because they are completely flat, they don’t add any bulk or height to your card at all! They are a perfect, delicate accent to any floral card for sure.
There are so many different things you can make with this one piece of Designer Series Paper. You’ll have to grab yourself a pack and see what you can come up with! Hop over to watch the video where I made this quick and easy card, and in the video, I show you the piece of DSP I’m referring to. You can see how many different designs are printed on this sheet, and you can start coming up with ideas for how you’ll make a set of cards just by using this one sheet! Have fun doing some simple cardmaking!
