Just Peachy Rock & Roll Technique Card

It’s SUMMER, and I couldn’t be happier! I love summertime; it’s my favorite season of the year. The sunshine, flowers, fruit, fresh produce, my beautiful flowerbeds and garden…I could go on and on!

Today is also the DEBUT of Season 9, Episode 1 of the Great North American Stampin’ Show! WE’RE BACK for Season 9, and I can’t believe it’s already time! We took a break for a few weeks, and now I’m back with a summery card that I love.

We were challenged to use page 41 of the current Stampin’ Up! catalog for our inspiration, so I chose the card on the far right-hand side. I created a stamped background using the darling Just Peachy stamp set, and I inked it up with Crisp Cantaloupe ink. Before stamping, I “rocked” it into the Calypso Coral ink pad, and used my sponge dauber to blend the colors together. The card layout I “copied” is a very simple design, so this card wasn’t hard to make. After making my background, I layered on some Designer Series Paper, a sentiment, and some cute little peach slices that I added some sparkle to, using my Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. I love that thing!! It’s a MUST in my craft room!
