A Big Smooch for my Honey!

Today aired Season 7, Episode 6 of the Great North American Stampin’ Show, and our challenge was to create “something” that we are going to give our spouses for Valentine’s Day! I decided to make a card using the adorable Valentine Kisses stamp set and matching dies, and I hope you love the cute little creation I came up with! My card base is made out of Real Red cardstock, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″ and folded in half. I layered a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Made with Love paper pack, which measured 4″ x 5-1/4″.

Next, I cut an arched window out of the card front using the Everyday Arches dies, which are a MUST!! I love these dies!! It makes such a cool “window”!

I die cut several pieces to use to make the cute little “kissing booth” inside of the arched window, using Real Red and Crumb Cake cardstocks. I used my Blending Brushes to brush on some background behind the booth, using Pool Party and Soft Seafoam inks, and then stamped my bear and colored him in. For the bear, I used 3 different Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers: 100, 200, and 300 of the neutral tones.

I used my Old Olive Blends marker to add some grass, and then added the cute hearts, sentiment, and birdie.

After stamping, coloring, and die cutting out the large bear, I added him on front, as well as the sentiment and the adorable little hearts. Didn’t this turn out so cute?? I hope my hubby loves it!
