Do you have favorite recipes that you make every year at Christmastime? I sure do! We didn’t eat very much sugar growing up, but once I got married and started my own traditions, I taught myself how to bake and make lots of different kinds of candies. It’s so much fun!
One of our favorite Christmas cookie recipes is Chocolate Peppermint Pudding Cookies. They’re SO GOOD!! Think “hot chocolate and candy canes,” and you’re on the right track!

Here’s the recipe, taken from the website I Heart Naptime about 10 years ago.
3/4 cup softened butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 small box Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix (dry)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/4 cups flour
1 cup Andes Peppermint Crunch Baking Chips
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cream together butter & sugars. Beat in dry pudding mix. Add eggs & vanilla, beat until well incorporated.
Add baking soda & flour and mix until combined. Stir/mix in baking chips & chocolate chips.
Roll into 1″ balls and place on a greased baking sheet. I like using silicon baking mats. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. 9 minutes is perfect in my oven.
ENJOY!!
