Charming Day Butterfly Card

Easy, easy cards: that’s my jam! I love making EASY cards that are beautiful and fun to give. Today’s card layout is perfect for that description, and I think you will love the finished look!

I used the new Floral Charm Designer Series Paper for this beautiful card background, which is loaded with floral prints that are super pretty. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I put this card together!

The basic card base is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, folded in half. I used Crumb Cake cardstock here, and then layered on a piece of Mossy Meadow, measuring 3-3/4″ x 4-1/2″. Layered onto that is one of the floral prints from the paper pack, and I LOVE these colors!! This piece measures 3-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.

Next, I die cut out several butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies die set, using Basic White cardstock. I adhered these onto the card base with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, and added their “bodies” by die cutting out of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Don’t they look beautiful??

I heat embossed the sentiment onto a little scrap of Mossy Meadow cardstock, and I like how the white contrasts on the dark cardstock. You could also use white cardstock here, and just stamp it with Mossy Meadow ink instead of the heat embossing. But, I love how the heat embossing looks here!
