Today aired the Great North American Stampin’ Show, Season 5, Episode 7! As always, the four of us ladies had a GREAT time coming up with cards mimicking the layouts from page 83 of Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog, and I chose the middle card to use as my layout inspiration this week. I hope you love what I came up with!

Today’s card is called a “Slimline” card. Have you ever made one of those? The drawback is that you can only make 1 card from a piece of cardstock. That doesn’t make me very happy!! But, the shape of the card is fun and different, because it’s skinnier than the regular card layout.
The card base measures 6-1/4″ x 7″, and it’s scored at 3-1/2″ (folded in half) on the 7″ side. This creates a lovely, skinny card! My card base is made out of Early Espresso cardstock.

Layered on top of this is a piece of the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP), which is super fun because it’s a paper pack full of different basket woven textures! This piece measures 3-1/4″ x 6″. Next, I layered a piece of Basic Beige on top of that, and it measures 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″.
I stamped a “stack” of cookie jars onto Basic White cardstock, using Black Memento ink, featuring the “masking” technique. Please watch the video to see how I did this! I think it looks adorable, and I hand cut it out using my Paper Snips.
I stamped the cookies into each jar, using Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks. I layered this stack onto the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment onto a 1/2″ strip using Early Espresso ink, and bannered the left-hand side. And finally, I punched out a jar lid using the matching punch, using the Gold Foil cardstock. The little Linen Thread bow added the perfect, finishing touch.

I hope you love this cute little card! Stampin’ Up! just came out with the cutest stamp set that coordinates with this punch, using Christmas images, and I’m thrilled about that!! I need to pull it out and start creating with it! PLEASE CLICK HERE to check it out in my Stampin’ Up! store.
