Have you seen the fantastic dies that go with our Beautiful Butterflies stamp set? It has some amazing dies in it, including one that actually cuts out a card that’s shaped like a butterfly! It’s awesome! We’ve never carried a die like this one, and I’m super excited about it. It’s a fun and easy way to make an over-the-top card, with very little effort!

PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. It’s actually super easy, but there are a few tips I’d like to you be sure to hear on the video!
For the card base, I used one of the FREE packs of Designer Series Paper (DSP) that you can earn right now during Sale-A-Bration 2025! Only 2 weeks left to earn these freebies, and this floral DSP is super pretty! It’s called Bloom Impressions, and there are several different floral designs in this paper pack.
I cut myself a piece of 5-1/2″ x 8″ floral printed paper, and folded it in half. Next, I lined up the butterfly card die along the folded edge of my DSP, lining up the little “notches” in the die to match the fold (please watch the video to see this in action!). After sending it through the die cutting machine, it cuts out a card that’s in the shape of a butterfly! It’s amazing!

Next, I die cut out the little strip for the sentiment, which is another die in the Beautiful Butterflies die set. I shortened this die around the words, and in the video, I showed how to do this. I stamped the words in Berry Burst ink onto Basic White cardstock. Before mounting this onto the butterfly card, I added some Stampin’ Seal to the back of the strip, and zigzagged some of the Shy Shamrock ribbon to the back of it to add a splash of color.
Finally, I die cut out 2 of the little butterflies from Daffodil Delight cardstock, as well as 2 little butterfly bodies from Basic Gray cardstock. I added these onto the card base, and it was finished! How easy!

You could easily make a pile of these cards, using all different papers! Plain or printed. I love how many ideas there are with this die, and I definitely plan on using it more. Have fun creating!
