It’s time to start stocking up on Birthday cards for the new year! It’s so handy to have a pile on hand, so that you can whip one out whenever you need one to take to a party or pop into the mail. I have a really cute and easy birthday card design for you today!
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. It’s so easy and quick! (and cute!)
The card base uses a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″ and folded in half. On top of that, I die cut out the largest die from the Perennial Postage die set out of a piece of 4″ x 5-1/4″ Berry Burst cardstock. It layers perfectly onto the card base.
Next, I cut out 3 different 2″ squares from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. This paper pack is ADORABLE!! The bright, fun colors are so great, I love using it. I layered these squares directly onto the card base using Liquid Glue. The center square was mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it a little pop.
I added little “double bows” that I made using the Three Pack Baker’s Twine, adhering them down using Mini Glue Dots. These are my favorite to use when sticking on bows!
Finally, I stamped a sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock, using Blueberry Bushel ink, from the Round We Go stamp set. I trimmed the edges at a slant, and added this onto the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
My final touch was sprinkling on a few of the Iridescent Discs, which pick up light and add some shine! And they go with the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock perfectly!
Enjoy this easy birthday card layout. It’s a fun one!
