I absolutely LOVE decorating for Fall. It is my favorite season to enjoy the Fall feels: warmth, coziness, and cuddling by the fire while the wind and leaves blow crazily outside. It is very rainy in the Pacific Northwest in the fall and winter, so there’s lots of time for crafting and creating!
I have created LOTS of home decor with my Stampin’ Up! products over the years, so I thought it would be fun to share photos with you of some of my projects. They would be so easy to recreate using current products, so I hope you get some fun ideas here that you can use in your own home!
Home decor can seem daunting to make, but it really isn’t. Many of the wooden bases I get at the Dollar Tree, and then use Mod Podge to stick the Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the wood. Using a hand sander, the edges can be sanded off, and then embellishments can be added. Everything gets dressed up SO nicely with ribbons and gems! Lots and lots of ribbons, I might add!
Look at this cute GATHER sign I made, using an alphabet die set and pumpkin stamps! Layering up some leaves, pumpkins, and twine makes this easy framed piece look completely WOW!
This wooden pumpkin was from the Dollar Tree. I stained it a darker brown with some wood stain from Walmart, and then added the DSP. Then I glued the pumpkin into a wooden frame from Hobby Lobby. After finishing it off with ribbon, raffia, twine, and a button, it is darling in my bookcase!
And finally, these adorable pumpkins were made by twisting ribbon into a circle, and hot gluing them down onto a paper disc. I added some little stems, die cut leaves, and then some Spanish Moss onto the bottom. The little wooden plaque base was from the Dollar Tree, and I covered it with some woodgrain DSP for the background.
Isn’t it fun?? I hope you love these ideas. I’ll be sharing more! Pop on over to the Dollar Tree, and see what you can find. Christmas items will start arriving soon, so grab some of those as well, and let’s start making some cute home decor!
