Are you still enjoying Fall projects? I definitely am. Since I’ve been so reluctant to even admit that it’s finally Fall, I feel like I’ve only just begun to really get into it! Ha ha!
This card has all the Fall feels, in my opinion! It’s all different tones of browns and golds, which really gives it a warm, deep, rich effect. I really love how this card turned out!
I started out with a card base of Pecan Pie (4-1/4″ x 11″, folded in half), and layered on Early Espresso cardstock, and then the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper (DSP). It just occurred to me this morning that this DSP has several designs in it that are really SO perfect for fall projects! Don’t you think? Wow! I just love how this DSP looks on this card!
Next, I stamped the large Maple Leaf stamp from the Autumn Leaves stamp set onto Very Vanilla cardstock, stamping off first so that the ink wasn’t quite so bold. I used Copper Clay ink. Then, I die cut it out with the coordinating die, and stamped “I’m thankful” on top using Early Espresso ink. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. I die cut the leaf veins out of Early Espresso cardstock and glued them to the back of the leaf, so that I would have a stem at the base of the leaf. After putting the card together, you can see from the picture that you can’t really see the stem, so maybe it wasn’t necessary to bother with it! But, if you watch the video, you can see how all of that came together.
I added a few other smaller leaves to the card that I had die cut out from the More Dazzle DSP, which is glitzy, shiny, and gorgeous! These leaves added a perfect amount of glam to the card, and I love it! And the other perfect touch was the way I tied the ribbon onto the card. Please watch the video to see how I did this! I absolutely LOVE the way it looks, and I will definitely be doing more of this! I used the Pecan Pie Bordered Ribbon for this card, and it looks just perfect.
After adding a few Brushed Metallic Dots, as well as the rest of the sentiment stamped with Early Espresso ink, the card was finished! I hope you love it as much as I do!
